MAULDIN, S.C. — Bi-Lo here posted flat sales and a $2.5 million loss in a monthly operating report filed in U.S. Bankruptcy Court Wednesday.
The report for the four weeks from Aug. 16 to Sept. 12 showed sales of $194.6 million vs. sales of $195.5 million in the same period last year. EBITDA of $9.3 million was up from $8.9 million a year ago, and a loss of $2.5 million was down from last year's net loss of $2.9 million.
In results for the year-to-date — including two months before it filed for Chapter 11 protection — Bi-Lo recorded net income of $21.9 million, up from a loss of $11.3 million in the same period a year ago. Sales of $1.7 billion were flat.
