GREENVILLE, S.C. — Bi-Lo here has selected the VeriBalance cash office management system from Balance Innovations, Lenexa, Kan., to optimize the cash office workflow in its 207 stores.
Through its integration with the POS system, the VeriBalance system eliminates the manual processes involved in daily management of the cash office, said Balance Innovations.
"We realized a significant reduction in cash office hours, which enabled us to reallocate those resources to better serve our customers at our service desks and self-checkouts," said Gail Moore, senior manager of customer service and store support for Bi-Lo, in a statement. "We also realized an improvement in our cash losses."
The system also allowed Bi-Lo to exercise greater control by reconciling all lanes, self-checkouts and the cash office on a daily basis.
