SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Big Y Foods said Wednesday it has named Michael P. D'Amour vice president of sales and merchandising, overseeing sales, procurement, merchandising, advertising and pricing.
He succeeds Phillip J. Schneider, vice president of sales, who is retiring from the 61-unit, privately owned chain this month.
D'Amour, who is the son of Donald D'Amour, chief executive officer of Big Y, joined his family's company in 1987 and has worked in various capacities, most recently as vice president of fresh foods.
