SAN JOSE, Calif. – Cellfire here, a provider of digital coupons, today announced it is enabling shoppers to receive real-time alerts in their smartphones about available coupons whenever they are physically near one of 5,000 grocery locations participating with Cellfire.
The Store Alerts feature, developed in partnership with Location Labs, San Francisco, is available in Cellfire’s iPhone and Android applications. Cellfire allows consumers to access grocery coupons using their mobile phone. Selected coupons are immediately loaded to the loyalty card and applied automatically at checkout.
Retailers that have participated with Cellfire include Kroger, Safeway, ShopRite and Giant Eagle.
