ATLANTA — A $35.6 million judgment for improperly compensating employees should stand against Family Dollar Stores, a federal appeals court here has ruled, according to Associated Press reports. The judgment upholds a 2006 case that found the Matthews, N.C.-based discounter had improperly classified hourly employees as managers and exempt from laws for overtime pay.
