CVS Launches Upscale Beauty 360 Format

WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS/pharmacy yesterday launched Beauty 360, a luxury beauty products store concept designed primarily for women.

WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS/pharmacy yesterday launched Beauty 360, a luxury beauty products store concept designed primarily for women. The first store is in Washington, and a second is planned for an early December opening in Mission Viejo, Calif., the company said. According to a statement, “Beauty 360 uses an experiential model of selling that is heavily focused on service and is conveniently located right in our customer's neighborhood.” It will offer a range of upscale and niche brands from the skin care, cosmetics, men's grooming and fragrance categories, and will be staffed by trained and licensed professionals offering services such as mini-manicures, express facials, hand massages and make-up application. "Beauty 360 is the natural evolution of CVS/pharmacy's leadership within the beauty category," said Mike Bloom, senior vice president of merchandising. "This new concept will redefine the beauty shopping experience by providing customers with access to prestige and niche beauty brands as well as an unparalleled level of service."
