EDINA, Minn. — Byerly’s new store dietitian is using social media to solicit shopper feedback.

In a blog posted on the Lunds and Byerly’s Facebook page, Janice Cox, who joined the Byerly’s store in Ridgedale in July, introduced herself and detailed her nutrition background.

Along with working as a registered dietitian for hospitals and clinics, she conducted research on topics including as hypertension, weight loss, women’s health issues, and cholesterol. She has also taught nutrition classes and worked for medical nutrition and wellness companies.

“I am happy to bring my rich experience to Byerly’s. Simply, my passion is people, especially people who are working on their healthy eating and lifestyle skills,” Cox wrote in the article.

She encouraged shoppers to send an email, respond to the blog, call her or visit her in the store to tell her what nutrition interest them.

In response, Lunds/Byerly’s Facebook users said they want to learn about cheap, but healthy recipes; recipes for picky eaters; healing or restorative foods; what to eat when recovering from surgery; and kid-friendly meals.
