According to Accuweather, cities from Wilmington, Del., to Boston could receive 12 or more inches of snow beginning Tuesday. More snow in the Mid-Atlantic, where two snowstorms have already hit this winter, will likely push season snowfall totals to all-time records, the forecaster added.

Planalytics, the Berwyn, Pa.-based weather intelligence group said, retailers in the Northeast should see high demand for ice melt and snow shovels.
