FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Two former employees of Dollar Tree have filed suit against the company for wage violations and are seeking collective action for violations of the federal Fair Labor Standards Act.
The complaint, filed in U.S. District Court here, seeks to recover undisclosed amounts for “overtime compensation, unpaid wages, liquidated damages, costs and attorneys fees,” as well as declaratory and injunctive relief, according to the complaint. Dollar Tree, based in Chesapeake, Va., has asked for an extension of time to answer the charges, court records show.
