WASHINGTON — Deborah White, formerly senior vice president and chief legal officer for Food Marketing Institute, has left FMI to form her own consulting firm to advise companies on federal regulatory issues.

Regulatory Solutions, based here, will focus on serving companies in the food and agriculture sector.

“Regulatory Solutions helps companies, particularly in the supermarket and food distribution industries, navigate what is often a very complex regulatory system,” said White, in a prepared statement.

Prior to joining FMI in 1999, White was an attorney at the law firm of Keller and Heckman, specializing in food and drug law. Her husband, John Motley, also is a former senior vice president at FMI.
