NEW YORK — Online grocer FreshDirect has contracted with Eco-Safe Systems USA, Los Angeles, to install an Eco-Safe Ozone Disinfection System in its 350,000-square-foot refrigerated distribution center.
The system produces ozonated water for food disinfection and water purification.
“FreshDirect has taken a very progressive approach by being proactively concerned with product quality and food safety,” said Michael Elliot, Eco-Safe’s President.
