PITTSBURGH — Giant Eagle has launched weekly meal deals that it says can feed a family of four for under $10.
"Giant Eagle now offers another way to save when you're looking for easy meal solutions," Giant Eagle writes in promotional materials. "These meals can be made in minutes, so they're perfect when you're pushed for time."
Each week, the retailer offers special pricing on ingredients needed to prepare a quick-and-easy meal. This week's meal deal costs $9.35. The ingredients are Giant Eagle split chicken breast, $6.36 for four pounds; Rice-A-Roni, $1; and Farmer's Market Vegetable Medley, $1.99.
Shoppers must use their loyalty card to get the special prices. Each meal deal is accompanied by a recipe. This week's recipe is "Baked Chicken with Spanish Rice and Steamed Vegetables."
