COLORADO SPRINGS — The Global Market Development Center, or GMDC, has named Jane Colvard to its staff as manager of member services. Colvard’s responsibilities will focus on increasing GMDC’s membership and conference attendance, including creating programs to recruit new members and retain existing members. Colvard joins GMDC from the American Numismatic Association, a non-profit, educational association, where she worked for nearly 10 years. She originally joined the ANA as staff research librarian/archivist, eventually becoming manager of education where her primary responsibilities included the planning and implementation of educational programs, services and seminars designed to reach over 34,000 members. “We are so fortunate to find an individual like Jane with a strong association and customer-service background, and a true passion to serve our members as well,” said Jerry Barnes, GMDC’s vice president of member services.
