EL SEGUNDO Calif. — Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market here said Wednesday Sean McCurley will be leaving the 159-store chain as director of grocery buying and merchandising and will be returning to parent company Tesco in the United Kingdom.
The company, Tesco's U.S.-based division, would not say what position he will fill at Tesco nor whom his successor here will be.
McCurley has been with Fresh & Easy since it opened its first U.S. store here in late 2007. He was originally director of fresh foods until August 2008, when he was named director of grocery buying and merchandising, with responsibilities for dry grocery and nonfoods.
