H-E-B Store Debuts Features for Hispanics

AUSTIN, Texas — H.E. Butt Grocery Co. has remodeled a store here with several new features targeting Hispanic shoppers.

The store added 6,000 square feet, accommodating a masa factory for grinding corn in the store, a tortilleria and a Hispanic-focused butcher shop, according to a report in the Austin Statesman.

The store, which had been open 30 years before the $7 million renovation, is the first in the chain to have these features, the newspaper reported.

"When we renovate stores that have been around for a while, we want to use the most exciting formats that we have," an H-E-B spokeswoman told the newspaper. "We put everything that we could possibly fit into the store."

Excellent. Congratulations.

In the future, you might want to buy the "Masa" & just make your tortillas.
Add "Bolillos, pinatas, and Ceviche" & a few other products & you've got it.

I just visited your store 68 miles west of Houston, Texas. Nice.

I spent 21 years in the Hispanic (Mexican) Grocery Business in Anaheim, CA

Congratulations,
