Harrison Named CIO at Delhaize U.S.

Scott Harrison, senior vice president of technology and efficiency and chief information officer at Food Lion, has been promoted to the newly created position of CIO for Delhaize Group U.S., Food Lion’s parent company.

SALISBURY, N.C. — Scott Harrison, senior vice president of technology and efficiency and chief information officer at Food Lion, has been promoted to the newly created position of CIO for Delhaize Group U.S., Food Lion’s parent company.

In this new role, Harrison will work with Food Lion and its sister chains Hannaford Bros. and Sweetbay to fulfill the IT needs. He will also oversee IT Shared Services, which includes Supply Chain Solutions and IT Infrastructure for Delhaize’s U.S. companies. He will report to Terry Morgan, global CIO for Delhaize Group.

“We look forward to leveraging his expertise in technology to develop innovative systems and solutions to benefit the entire Delhaize Group infrastructure,” Morgan said in a prepared statement.

Harrison launched his supermarket career at Hannaford in 1982 and joined Food Lion in 2000.
