NEW YORK — BrightFarms LLC, a supplier of hydroponic rooftop gardens for
supermarkets, said Christian Haub has joined the company as an advisor.
Haub is the former chief executive officer of Montvale, N.J.-based A&P, which filed for
bankruptcy protection last year. He had also been chairman of the company, which was
partially owned by his family. It was not clear Thursday morning whether Haub is still
involved with A&P at all.
According to BrightFarms, both Haub and his family's company, Tengelmann Group, are "no
longer directly involved in the supermarket industry in the United States."
Haub had previously turned over day-to-day operations at A&P to current CEO Sam Martin.
