Bill Wetterling, Kevin Lenz and Tony DeMaria, all from Hy-Vee’s Chariton Distribution Center, were inducted into Hy-Vee’s "Road of Gold" program.

Road of Gold drivers each receive $1,000 in Hy-Vee gift cards, a pair of customized leather jackets, a diamond-encrusted ring and matching spouse’s necklace, plus the use of a gold-painted tractor for six months.

Having that gold tractor is the highlight of their career," Jim Moore, assistant vice president of transportation at the Chariton facility, said in a statement.

About 50 drivers have been inducted since 1995.
