IDDBA Names Cake-Decorating Finalists

The International Dairy-Deli-Bakery Association here has chosen three finalists to compete in its 14th Annual Cake Decorating Challenge at the Dairy-Deli-Bake 2009 seminar and expo, June 7-9, in Atlanta.

MADISON, Wis. — The International Dairy-Deli-Bakery Association here has chosen three finalists to compete in its 14th Annual Cake Decorating Challenge at the Dairy-Deli-Bake 2009 seminar and expo, June 7-9, in Atlanta.

The finalists are Anne Freeman, representing a Hy-Vee store in Ames, Iowa; Charra Jarosz, representing a unit of Quality Food Centers (QFC) in Seattle; and Kim Oborne, representing a Publix Super Markets unit in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Hy-Vee is headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa. Quality Food Centers, Bellevue, Wash., is a division of Kroger Co., Cincinnati, and Publix is headquartered in Lakeland, Fla.

The three cake-decorating finalists, chosen from nearly 80 entrants, will compete on the show floor during the challenge, which runs the entire three days of the show.
