Jackson, Louie Win IGA’s Grimes Awards

CHICAGO — IGA here said it has presented the J. Frank Grimes Award to two veteran industry executives: Thomas S. Jackson, president and chief executive officer of the Ohio Grocers Association, and Brandt Louie, chairman, president and CEO of H.Y. Louie, an IGA wholesaler based in Vancouver, British Columbia.

CHICAGO — IGA here said it has presented the J. Frank Grimes Award to two veteran industry executives: Thomas S. Jackson, president and chief executive officer of the Ohio Grocers Association, and Brandt Louie, chairman, president and CEO of H.Y. Louie, an IGA wholesaler based in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Jackson, who has headed the Ohio group for 24 years, plans to retire later this year. Louie's company, which is 100 years old, has been affiliated with IGA for 80 years.

The Grimes Award, IGA's highest honor, is given in recognition of outstanding service to IGA to individuals who exhibit the principles, passion and charisma of Grimes, who founded IGA. The awards were presented during IGA's annual Global Rally in Vancouver.
