Loblaw to Close Halifax DC

BRAMPTON, Ontario — Loblaw Cos. here said it would close its distribution center in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on or about Oct. 9.

The company said the closure is part of an effort to simplify its distribution network and reduce excess capacity in its Atlantic division, which is served by six other distribution centers. The company said it would seek to find employment for the 115 workers at the facility.
