Loblaw Invests in Workforce Management System

Loblaw has purchased RedPrairie's Workforce Management application for its stores across Canada to manage the work schedules for more than 120,000 employees.

TORONTO — Loblaw here has purchased RedPrairie's Workforce Management application for its stores across Canada to manage the work schedules for more than 120,000 employees.

"We needed a proven solution to meet our requirements, while providing an easier tool for our managers and colleagues," said Catherine Booth, senior vice president, information technology, Loblaw, in a statement.

The system encompasses time and attendance, business forecasting, workforce demand planning, automated optimized scheduling, staff self-service, dashboards with configurable alerts, and computer-based training.
