BRAMPTON, Ontario — Loblaw Cos. here has selected several applications from the KMI EHS Software, Oakville, Ontario, to help manage health and safety initiatives at the company’s stores and distribution centers.

Loblaw will implement the Audit & Inspection, Corrective Action and Dashboards & Reporting modules of the KMI EHS Software Suite to achieve their “health and safety aspirations,” said Jattinder Dhillon, vice president of health, safety and wellness for Loblaw, in a statement.

The system will support Loblaw’s “Path Towards Zero Accidents” plan to reduce workplace accidents, illnesses, workers’ compensation and overall operational costs.

In addition, Loblaw is also leveraging the system to manage regulatory visits conducted by provincial agencies. Having a single corporate-wide, web-based system in place that supports all aspects of the auditing process is seen as ensuring consistent compliance with internal policies as well as external regulatory requirements while saving time at both the corporate and store level.
