MINNEAPOLIS — Supervalu said yesterday that Duncan Mac Naughton, 47, has resigned as executive vice president of merchandising and marketing, effective yesterday.
He is the latest is a series of executives to leave the retailer since the arrival of Craig Herkert as president and chief executive officer earlier this year.
"Duncan has been an integral part of our management team and has helped us lay the foundation for our company’s future success,” said Herkert in a prepared statement.
Supervalu said it is currently reviewing internal and external candidates to lead the company’s merchandising and marketing teams. The merchandising and marketing functions will report to Herkert on an interim basis.
