NEW YORK — Marsh Supermarkets, Indianapolis, will implement a coupon-to-card application from NCR as part of the chain’s Fresh I-D-E-A loyalty program later this year, NCR announced yesterday at the National Retail Federation’s 99th Annual Convention & Expo here.

The coupon-to-card application, available for NCR’s multichannel offer management system, called the Advanced Marketing Solution, will enable shoppers to select online coupons and have them delivered directly to their loyalty cards, removing the need to print and carry paper coupons to the store.

“Our customers will appreciate the added convenience of not having to print out coupons and faster checkout times, and Marsh will gain new operational efficiencies, such as reducing the costs of processing paper coupons,” said Mark Heckman, vice president of marketing for Marsh.
