GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Meijer Inc. here said Tuesday is plans to debut a new banner called Meijer Marketplace with store it is planning to open next month in Melrose Park, Ill.
The 96,000-square-foot store, about half the size of Meijer’s supercenters, will feature a full grocery store, pharmacy and additional departments like electronics, seasonal items, toys, sporting goods and a pet department, with a layout that Meijer said will allow it to be flexible in changing its offerings to suit customer preferences.
