NGA Plans Business-, Estate-Planning Conference

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The Center for Family-Owned Business, a part of the National Grocers Association here, said it will host a three-day conference in late October designed to help retailers deal with business planning; successsion and organizational planning; and estate and financial planning.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The Center for Family-Owned Business, a part of the National Grocers Association here, said it will host a three-day conference in late October designed to help retailers deal with business planning; succession and organizational planning; and estate and financial planning.

The conference, scheduled for Oct. 26-28, will be held at the training facility of Associated Grocers, Baton Rouge, La.

According to NGA, attendees will learn how to properly develop a strategic plan, operate a growth-oriented company, develop succession planning techniques, implement estate tax-planning programs and negate the impact of estate taxes.

NGA said it is accepting nominations and applications for the conference.
