NGA Sets New Fall Conference

LAS VEGAS — The National Grocers Association is scheduled to hold a new conference this fall, designed to help independent retailers improve sales, increase profits and become better operators, Peter Larkin, president and chief executive officer, told NGA members Sunday night.

Speaking at the opening general session of the association's annual convention here, Larkin said the conference would feature workshops and panels on improving operations; it will also feature a series of trading partner sessions in which retailers will have the chance to talk one-on-one with vendors or brokers, and it will serve as the site for NGA's directors to meet.

The conference is scheduled for Sept. 18-21 in Minneapolis.
