MONTVALE, N.J. — A&P here and OfficeMax have reached an agreement to settle a dispute stemming from A&P hiring away several former OfficeMax executives.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed, as the parties motioned to file the settlement under seal to U.S. Bankruptcy Court.
Naperville, Ill.-based OfficeMax sued A&P and its chief executive officer, Sam Martin, last year, charging that Martin violated terms of his severance agreement from OfficeMax by hiring several of its former executives to join him at A&P. Martin was the former CEO at OfficeMax.
OfficeMax charged Martin improperly solicited Carter Knox and Paul Hertz to leave their employment with OfficeMax and join A&P.
