COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio Grocers Association here told SN Monday it plans to launch a new online program by Sept. 1 that will feature Tom Jackson, OGA president and chief executive officer, discussing issues pertinent to his members.

Jackson said the talks will be available through a link on the association's Weekly Checkout Web page. The technology for what the association is calling "OGA-TV" is being provided by Manna Promotions, Stow, Ohio, he noted.

Jackson has already recorded his first two videos: one on the Fair Labor Standards Act, which adds 250 new inspectors in the Department of Labor who will be searching out violations of minimum wage and overtime laws, and the Occupational Safety and Health Act, which he said is also ramping up its investigative programs.

Each segment will be between seven and eight minutes, Jackson said, and will be duplicated in written materials.
