Pharmacies Praised for Top Service

Three supermarket chain pharmacies have been named among 40 companies on a list of J.D. Power 2011 Customer Service Champions.

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. — Three supermarket chain pharmacies have been named among 40 companies on a list of J.D. Power 2011 Customer Service Champions. Publix, Wegmans and Winn-Dixie pharmacies were cited as providing high levels of customer service.

Two non-supermarket pharmacies — Good Neighbor Pharmacy and Health Mart Pharmacy —also made this year's list.

To identify the J.D. Power 2011 Customer Service Champions, J.D. Power evaluated more than 800 brands. Companies were identified based on customer feedback, opinions and perceptions gathered primarily from J.D. Power's syndicated research as well as additional, supplemental research.

The group of 40 winners represents the highest-performing companies that deliver service excellence to U.S. customers — both within their respective industries and across all industries measured.

"Companies that have successfully weathered the economic storm are those that have in place a business strategy of service excellence and recognize that delivering high-quality service is a powerful differentiator in the face of changing market conditions," said Gary Tucker, senior vice president of global services and emerging industries at J.D. Power and Associates, in a press release.
