LOS ANGELES — Al Plamann, president and chief executive officer of Unified Grocers here, is scheduled to receive the 2009 Best Friend Award on April 6 from the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University.
The award recognizes accomplished leaders who share the late George Graziado’s commitment to higher education; and who advance, through example and service, the mission of Christian-based Pepperdine: to educate students for a higher purpose than just profits. Plamann is a board member of the Graziadio School.
The award will be presented during the sixth annual Friends of George Graziadio Golf Tournament at Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. The tournament is sponsored by Sovereign Capital Management, San Diego.
