CHICAGO — H.E. Butt Grocery Co., Costco Wholesale Corp., Navarro Discount Pharmacies and Topco Associates are recipients of the Private Label Manufacturers Association’s 2008 Salute to Excellence Awards.
Each year, PLMA invites industry members to nominate supermarkets, mass merchandisers, drug chains, co-operatives and wholesalers who have exceptional store-brand programs. The winners will be honored at next week’s PLMA show during the keynote breakfast.
“The awards give recognition to companies whose store brands broke new ground in terms of product quality and presentation, marketing and merchandising, thereby bringing excitement to their private-label programs and driving new growth for the industry as a whole," said Brian Sharoff, president of PLMA, in a statement.
