NEWARK, Del. — The Produce Marketing Association yesterday announced plans to nearly double the size of its Foundation for Industry Talent career fair at this October’s PMA Fresh Summit convention.

Twenty-five produce companies will participate in this year’s event, which will be sponsored by Stemilt Growers. And, in addition to recipients of 2009 Pack Family/PMA Career Pathways scholarships, students from the University of California, Riverside; California State Polytechnic University, Pomona; Chapman University; and California State University, Fresno will be eligible to attend.

PMA FIT launched the event at last year’s convention as part of its efforts to promote careers in the produce industry to university students.
