KANSAS CITY, Mo. — To help shoppers with the eternal question, “What’s for dinner?” Price Chopper here has launched a new Meal Central Solutions Center.
Launched last month, the Meal Central display features a discounted weekly meal of a center plate dish, sides and dessert, depending on the meal. Shoppers can pick up all the meal ingredients at the display, as well as the recipe on a free recipe card or via a mobile QR code.
This week’s Meal Central recipe of tilapia fillets, red potatoes, green beans and Italian bread comes to $10.99, according to Price Chopper’s website.
Price Chopper is promoting these meal ideas and recipes through print and radio ads, weekly emails, and its website and Facebook page.
“Our consumer research combined with our everyday interaction with customers tells us that Kansas City shoppers need our help preparing simple, healthy meals for their family at a good price,” said Casie Broker, director of marketing at Price Chopper, in a release.
“Meal Central is their solution. Each week, our customers will find everything they are asking for: a meal idea, an easy-to-prepare recipe, and the main ingredients they need…all gathered in one place and at a discounted price.”
