LAKELAND, Fla. — Publix Super Markets here yesterday said it has scheduled the opening of its 1,000th store.
The 54,000-square-foot St. Augustine, Fla., will stage a grand opening ceremony Feb. 7. To commemorate the milestone, Publix said it will grant eight local area schools $1,000 each for the purchase of school supplies.
