The “Customer Service Champs” list published by BusinessWeek magazine here ranked Publix, Lakeland, Fla., sixth and Wegmans, Rochester, N.Y., as No. 12. They were the only supermarket companies named to the list, which named outdoor retailer L.L. Bean to the No. 1 ranking. Publix was has been named to the list every year since its inception in 2007.
“Our associates are committed to offering premier customer service,” Todd Jones, Publix president, said in a statement. “It’s gratifying to see how well we are thought of by our customers and the industry.”
