SUNBURY, Pa. — Weis Markets here on Monday said that sales increased 3.5% and earnings were up 0.9% for the 13-week second quarter, which ended June 25. Sales were $676.7 million for the period, and same-store sales increased by 5.1% as Weis benefited from three new stores, operational improvements at the store level and improved administrative expense management.
