WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Raley's here said yesterday it plans to offer free flu vaccinations to its entire workforce of nearly 15,000.

“We've encouraged every employee to participate in flu shot clinics at no cost to them so [customers] can trust our employees are supplied with resources and services to keep themselves and those around them healthy,” said Bill Okuno, director of pharmacy administration for the 133-store chain.

Flu shot clinics will also be available to the public earlier this year than in past years to accommodate greater customer interest, the company said — running from Sept. 16 through Nov. 7. Raley’s said it has partnered with Health Tech Mobile and Renown Health Group to host the clinics.

Flu shots will be available to the public on a first-come/first-served basis, with no appointments required, at the same cost as last year — $25 in stores in California and $28 at stores in Nevada.
