WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Raley's here said it topped the list for corporate giving in 2009 among businesses in the greater Sacramento area for the second year in a row, with cash contributions of $1.9 million and local in-kind contributions of $3.5 million.
According to Jennifer Teel-Wolter, the chain's spokeswoman, “As a family-owned business, giving back to our communities has always been an integral part of who we are as a company; and in tough economic times like these, it's even more important to come together with our customers to make a difference and find new ways to meet the growing need.”
