OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill. — Redbox, the top automated DVD rental system, recently surpassed 200 million rentals and 10,000 locations, located in each of the contiguous United States. Redbox’s 200th million rental featured the movie “The Bank Job” and was rented on Aug. 25 in Herkimer, N.Y. Redbox DVD rental kiosks are available at select McDonald’s restaurants, leading grocery and convenience stores and Walgreens and Wal-Mart stores in select markets. The company is currently focused on installing kiosks at Walgreens, Wal-Mart and other retailers to fulfill recent contracts.
