ERLANGER, Ky. – Yesterday the Kentucky Grocers Association Hall of Fame inducted Bill Remke, president and chief executive officer of Remke Markets, a northern Kentucky chain.
Remke, the third generation in his family to work for its company, expanded the chain to eight locations, opened pharmacies and moved Remke Markets’ warehouse and corporate offices since he took over in the early 1970s, according to a release.
“We want to recognize Bill’s achievements and pay tribute to a man who has dedicated much of his life to the Kentucky Grocery Industry, and who has consistently exceeded goals,” said Ted Mason, KGA executive director in the release. Remke is the 5th grocer inducted in the KGA Hall of Fame.
