SAN ANTONIO — H.E. Butt Grocery Co.'s Central Market will host a "burger revolution" June 22 to July 5.
The event is aimed at getting more people to consider hamburgers. But these aren't ordinary burgers, they all have gourmet ingredients and condiments.
"We'll help you create a new order of extraordinary burgers with toasted buns and a full spread of tempting toppings," Central Market states in promotional materials.
Selections include a Surf 'N Turf burger, featuring Kobe beef on a toasted brioche roll, topped with grilled shrimp, fresh tarragon, grilled asparagus and horseradish mayo; and a Lamb Burger, a lamp patty on a crusty ciabatta roll, topped with crumbled feta, grilled eggplant, Kalamata olives, roma tomatoes, fresh mint and tzatziki. There’s also a salmon burger, cheddar apple burger and mushroom burger. "Build a more perfect burger," Central Market states.
