CARLISLE, Pa. — Ahold USA said Kathy Russello (right) has been promoted to executive vice president of human resources, effective Wednesday.
She most recently had been senior vice president of human resource delivery at the company, which is the parent of the Stop & Shop, Giant-Carlisle and Giant-Landover chains. She succeeds Bhavdeep Singh, who in October was named executive vice president of operations for Ahold USA.
Russello will report to Carl Schlicker, chief operating officer of Ahold USA. The HR organizations within the local retail divisions of Ahold USA — Stop & Shop New England, Stop & Shop New York Metro, Giant-Carlisle and Giant-Landover — will continue to run all aspects of human resources in their divisions.
Russello has more than 30 years of HR and retail supermarket experience. She began her career with Mayfair Supermarkets in Elizabeth, N.J., in store operations. She joined Ahold in 1995 and provided HR support for the New York division for both Edwards and Stop & Shop.
