PLEASANTON, Calif. — Safeway's online blog has officially turned one.
“One year ago today this blog was launched,” Safeway’s blogger, “Kate” writes. “A big ‘thank you’ to the readers, and those who’ve taken additional time to post comments along the way. Your feedback has been helpful in shaping the direction of this blog! I’d love to hear more about what you would like to read – please share.”
Kate is described as a full-time Safeway employee who’s a married mother to three girls: Gabriella, Madeleine, and Mae. Among her recent posts: “Home for the Holidays Promotion,” and “Getting through Flu Season.”
In response to Kate’s post about the anniversary, one person, “Christopher,” commented that he’s followed the blog since its inception. “At first I thought you were just a robot or something, but when I saw you responding to a comment, I started posting comments too,” Christopher wrote. “Thank you for taking the time to post stuff everyday.”
