Save Mart to Sponsor Farm-to-Table TV Show

Save Mart Supermarkets and its Lucky Stores subsidiary will sponsor “Bringing It Home,” a Northern California-Northern Nevada farm-to-table food show, through the end of the year, the chain said yesterday.

MODESTO, Calif. — Save Mart Supermarkets here and its Lucky Stores subsidiary will sponsor “Bringing It Home,” a Northern California-Northern Nevada farm-to-table food show, through the end of the year, the chain said yesterday.

The 30-minute show, which has been sponsored by other chains over the years, traces foods from the growing stage through meal preparation and offers recipes that will be available in the chain's weekly ads and at store level. The TV show will air Saturday mornings on separate stations in Sacramento, San Francisco and Fresno, Calif., and Reno, Nev.

According to Steve Junqueiro, president and chief operating officer at Save Mart, the TV show “speaks to our customers’ interest to be more connected with the foods they serve to their family. It highlights the richness of California agriculture and helps our customers understand how fortunate we all are to have local growers who deliver the benefit of fresh, safe food everyday.”
