CINCINNATI - Kroger's holiday "Thank You" bonus promotion drew an estimated 90,000 customers into marketplace stores, according to a report.
For every $100 Kroger customers spent between Oct. 16 and Nov. 27, they earned $10 to spend between Dec. 1 and Dec. 4 on participating items, including housewares, toys and electronics.
Customers eager to redeem the rewards cleaned the shelves in several categories, leaving many customers disappointed that they could not redeem their rewards.
Kroger reportedly issued an apology, saying it didn’t anticipate the overwhelming response.
