KEASBEY, N.J. — ShopRite is helping New Jersey residents beat the heat by giving out free bottled water.

Amidst stifling weather conditions, the Wakefern Food Corp. retailer is handing out ShopRite-brand spring water at various New Jersey Transit facilities. NJ Transit is New Jersey’s public transportation system, operating buses and trains to link major points in New Jersey, New York and Philadelphia.

“We partnered with NJ Transit to provide commuters with refreshing water during some of the hottest days of the summer,” ShopRite wrote on its Facebook page.

ShopRite teams will distribute 50,000 bottles of ShopRite bottled water for free at various NJ Transit terminals throughout the summer. The effort kicked off last week at the Hoboken terminal, and will continue while supplies last.
