ELIZABETH, N.J. — ShopRite, part of the Wakefern Food Corp., has introduced a new rewards program aimed at families.
After a soft launch last week, the program officially rolled out this week.
Shoppers can enroll in "ShopRite Family" online, a MyWebGrocer-operated site, by entering in personal data including their loyalty card number. They accrue points based on purchases of participating items. Currently offers are from Kraft, Kellogg, ConAgra, Unilever and nine other consumer packaged goods companies.
Once enrolled, members receive one point for each dollar spent on a participating item. Points can be redeemed at an e-store catalog for gift cards, music downloads, ring tones and other rewards.
The site also includes a community section filled with content including articles on kid nutrition. Polls, surveys and message boards will be added soon.
“We’re working toward creating an [online] community,” ShopRite spokeswoman Karen Meleta told SN.
