KEASBEY, N.J. — ShopRite is giving its shoppers a financial incentive to provide their emails.

The retailer is offering a $2 shopping discount to all those who create an account at shoprite.com by providing their email and other information.

The $2 discount will be applied to their loyalty card and automatically deducted from their next order between Aug. 22 and Sept. 4.

By creating a ShopRite account, users can build, save and email their shopping lists, receive emails about products they’re interested in and get personalized offers.

This is not the first time the retailer has offered a financial incentive for enrolling in one of its marketing programs. As part of a pilot of its YourBucks mobile coupon program, all those who enrolled received a $1 off Catalina checkout coupon. YourBucks targets enrolled shoppers with relevant offers via text message.
